How glad am I this week is over? So glad.
I'm running out of clever things to say about the goal posts. Some of you may contend that I already ran out of things to say. To you, I say...okay, fair point.
Anyway. Goals! You! Cash! Comments!
GO!
[Oh and make sure you're getting replies emailed to you because you're getting comments back but I'll be screening them too.]

Dear GOD I was an emo little snot with crap taste seven years ago.
And I took too many damn quizzes and apparently had never learned the LJ cut.
You all still love me though, right?

I've decided that I'm going to buy Rock Band for myself. And, you know, other people. Because we can't play with the Wii Fit all the time.
It's my party and I'll conspicuously consume if I want to.
[They keep showing that adorable little boy who saved his classmates. Instant weeping. Every time. BABY! *snuggles him*]
EDIT: *falls over* The Ramones can bite me. Seriously.

Ask the Internet:
Ladies, what do you think of selling eggs? Would you consider it? Does it freak you out? If you don't have an opinion, pretend you do and take a side.
I'm curious.
Edit: Gentlemen, you can chime in too if you like. What would you think if it was your mother, sister, girlfriend, wife, what have you?

I didn't buy lunch once this week! That totally covers the cost of the super cute shirt I bought the other day, right? Right.
Anyway, enough about me. Let's talk about you. How did your goals go this week? On track? Kicking so much ass that maybe it's time to pick something a little more challenging? Falling short and going to do better next week?
Comments, they're screened.

My coworkers are insane and made of awesome.
So yesterday, Azzy dragged me out of the office at 5:30 on the dot, something I didn't think anything of until I walked into the office this morning and...
Balloons.
Streamers.
Ribbon.
It looks like Mardi Gras exploded all over my desk. PLUS new writer lady baked me a cake. Without frosting (erm, I mean she didn't frost it, not that she baked it without frosting because, well, obviously.)
I don't like frosting.
Plus V and L got me the most awesome shirt ever that I can't explain because it's an RL reference. Suffice it to say that I am most gleeful. Twitter is all a-twitter with birthday wishes. I didn't expect any of this because it's not actually my birthday yet.
Oh twenty-mumble. You are looking promising.

My goodness, it feels like I just did this not four days ago!
But we're back on track for goal reporting. If you didn't chime in last week (or, well, Monday since I was gone last week), use this week for both. If you did manage to tag in for last week, then you're already half done. Go you!

Usually around the time of my birthday, I will remain silent on the subject until the day itself has passed. A few days or weeks later, I'll forget that I don't mention it and it'll come up in conversation, leading to people saying 'why didn't you tell me?' in a dismayed way.
This time, I aim to prevent all the "I didn't know!" and "You should have said something." My birthday is in 9 days (not including today) and I will be twenty-mumble.
Now you have no excuse.

Dear everyone, please call the California Milk Board and explain to them that you are aware of the difference between "milk jugs" that feed newborns and milk jugs that come from the grocery store. The lawyers are afraid that you are very very stupid. Breast milk is not cow milk.
Yes, it is indeed Monday. No, I didn't post a More Joy post on Friday.
However, better late than never, right? So think back to that long ago day before the weekend and recall how you were doing. Did you stick to your goals? Surpass it maybe?
Comments are screened as always.

Dear self, reserving Dr. Horrible would be a BAD BAD thing.
Naughty.
One might even say EVIL.

And Friday means it's almost the weekend!
AND it also means that it's time for your GOAL POST!
Did this week seem like it wasn't ever going to end for anyone else? Because I was SO looking forward to today.
Anyway! Comments screened! Your goals met?
Go.

My brain is melting out my ears. I have a meeting in 45 minutes. You get stream of thought as a result.
I'm restless. I want to RP but not thread (I still hate threading for RP purposes). I don't really want to RP Terry at the moment though I wouldn't mind getting some practice for Kare.
I want to write is really the problem but no inspiration behind it. Steph is loud, Tim is decently chatty. Elphaba's quiet but that's not unusual and Terry, as I mentioned, doesn't appeal. IM logs sound good. Email logs do. Instant gratification.
I miss a lot of people in XP--Jules, Wills, Alan, Jess, Alison, Kitty, Jamie, Bobby. Friends and characters alike. It's sad to me to think that five and a half years later there are only three original players left. What happened? When and how did the game become something that I loved but struggle to like? It used to feel like the whole world was open, now it feels like I'm only allowed to play within the confines of someone else's vision. Like it's not my (shared) game anymore.
It's an unpleasant thought. It's a thought that I'm used to with TR (That's never been mine, it's always been someone else's sandbox) and because I'm used to it there, I'll accept it there.
I suppose I'll have to accept it in XP as well. What else can one do, after all? No way to fight the tide.

Today the .me domains went on sale. Because I'm a silly person, I decided to try for a few. Most were a bust but I did get morphe.me.
Well, I thought it was clever.
I'm thinking I'll stick WordPress on that domain and start some kind of blog. But the question is, dear friends, what should I call my blog and what should it be about?
Ready? Go.
